The Art of War is a very interesting book.
You might think it teaches you how to 'fight', but in reality, the whole text is about how to 'not fight'.
It first explains that war is very dangerous and one should not start a war casually; even if war is initiated, one must calculate the costs and chances of victory, and if possible, avoid war altogether.
Winning a hundred battles brings you close to the end of your nation.
Because in war, there is loss and cost; if one is always at war, it indicates that the fundamental issues have not been resolved.
Think about it, isn't trading the same way?
