The United States' Strategy for Bitcoin and Other Digital Assets
In March 2025, President Donald Trump signed a decree to establish the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Fund and the U.S. Digital Asset Reserve. The Bitcoin Fund will hold BTC from asset seizures, not selling it on the market, aiming to regard BTC as a national reserve asset. The Digital Asset Reserve will include other cryptocurrencies such as ETH, XRP, SOL, and ADA, also from seizures, but may be sold or managed more flexibly.
