Elon Musk continues the lawsuit against OpenAI for allegedly deviating from its non-profit mission for the public good and shifting to a commercial model with a partnership with Microsoft.
Musk accuses OpenAI and Microsoft of monopolizing AI and violating antitrust laws. He also made a $97.4 billion acquisition offer for OpenAI to return to an open-source focus, but it was rejected.
OpenAI called this lawsuit baseless. The trial is scheduled for spring 2026.
