Users holding the 'Build Slot NFT' will have priority access to purchase the new Alpha 5 EV, which is the first new model launched by the brand in over 40 years. DeLorean has established a dedicated NFT marketplace, allowing users to buy and sell reservation rights using the USDC stablecoin. The company stated that it will use the FLUX protocol to put data such as vehicle battery health and maintenance records on the blockchain, facilitating second-hand vehicle transactions. The project also launched a utility token, DeLorean (DMC).
