The error lasted approximately 90 minutes before it was detected and canceled, raising further questions about the internal control systems of the financial institution.

According to information from People magazine, the error went unnoticed by two employees monitoring the transactions until a third employee noticed the anomaly and began to rectify it. The transfer was canceled before the client could use the money, thus avoiding a larger problem for the bank.
