Every collector wants a unique piece, and Good Vibes Club is born for that - it includes 6,969 PFP collectibles, characterized by bubblegum-smooth faces, candy-colored skin, distinct personalities, and a toy-box aesthetic that combines Pixar and streetwear elements.
The project is designed and executed by Toast.tv, a commercial animation studio founded by brothers Chris Guyot and Tyler Guyot. Each character in the series has a unique outline, personality, and visual traits, carefully constructed to create a one-of-a-kind feeling.
For three years, the Guyot brothers digitally sculpted over 800 unique features in Cinema 4D, hand-painted intricate textures, and developed proprietary rendering processes to create studio-quality high-resolution 3D assets.
Though the series employs generative design, it reflects the kind of meticulous visual craftsmanship usually reserved for pure art. This is why these PFPs are unique, from holographic jackets to cartoon pins, each feature is paired using strict color theory rules to establish a brand-specific visual harmony.
Characters are grouped into 12 specific color schemes, each designed around analogous or complementary color theory to maintain consistency and cohesion, allowing artistic creation to flourish.
This project marks a shift in how Web3 creators use the PFP format. Good Vibes Club has planned events for companies like Google, Reddit, and Facebook, using the same tools and techniques employed in commercial work to build their first PFP project.
Thus, each NFT is both a collectible and a fully designed character that can appear in animated shorts, comics, and other future storytelling forms, such as a larger fictional story world called 'Vibetown.'
Vibetown is an original universe created by Toast, intended to serve as the backdrop for future animated shorts and community events. The team has introduced several recurring characters, including 'Bad Vibes Guy', a villain filled with storm clouds and red eyes that flicker with suppressed anxiety, and 'Vibefoot', a beloved, furry wanderer whose whereabouts are tracked by the 'Vibefoot Fan Club' in the virtual world.
These characters are all unique and designed to be the cornerstone of narratives online, eventually becoming real-world products and events, such as the 'Good Vibes Club' launch event happening this summer in New York.
In the conversation below, OpenSea talks with Chris and Tyler Guyot about their creative process, how they crafted a PFP series that feels like artwork, and how they built a personality-driven brand that collectors can trust.
Note: This record has been edited for length and clarity.

OpenSea: Let's start from the beginning. For collectors just discovering Toast, how did you evolve from an award-winning animation studio to launching your first web3 project?
Chris Guyot: To be honest, it all comes from a love of art. We started the studio to work on meaningful creative projects - but we always ensured to leave some space for personal creations. Good Vibes Club was originally one of those side projects; after years of creating IP for others, we wanted to create our own - something full of joy, meaning, and true to our nature.
Tyler Guyot: Yes, we committed to this early on. We have always been dedicated to artistic creation, and over time, Good Vibes Club has become the pinnacle of that philosophy - blending our love for design, storytelling, and community.
OpenSea: What exactly is Good Vibes Club? Why is it called 'the most curated 3D PFP series'?
Chris: The core of Good Vibes Club is a movement of genuine connection, a community built around art and positivity. Technically, it's a generative 3D portfolio crafted to fine art standards, with each trait hand-sculpted. We even built our own process to render all the assets in-camera, which took over three years.

Tyler: Most series render 2D features at the Alpha level, but 3D gives all elements geometric shapes - light, textures, shadows. We are not just creating a high-quality 3D series; we are pursuing harmony and consistency. Each feature, each color, every detail is meticulously designed to maintain unity throughout the series. Think about color theory, texture mapping, feature pairing - all the elements you would expect from high-end design.
OpenSea: You collaborated with SuperRare, known for its 1/1 art pieces. How did this collaboration lead to this generative collection?
Tyler: SuperRare has always advocated for high-end digital art, so it felt natural. We were already exploring the idea of curating 3D PFPs, and John (SuperRare's CEO) - who is a good friend of mine and a Puerto Rico resident - encouraged us to go all in. Our vision aligned perfectly: to create a new category of art but at scale.
Chris: This is to elevate the PFP format. We want each piece to feel like a 1/1. SuperRare understands the potential of building a decentralized IP; it starts with art and extends to storytelling.
OpenSea: Speaking of intellectual property, how do you view the utility of Good Vibes Club? Some collectors want additional benefits, while others just want artwork. What is your stance on this?
Chris: This is a hybrid. On one hand, these works are high-fidelity digital art in themselves; on the other hand, we are building a world - a complete cinematic universe filled with legends, characters, and narrative threads. Our holders are collaborators who have co-created Vibetown with us.
Tyler: As an animation studio, our core business is creating brand moments through storytelling. For years, we have been bringing global IP to life during the Web2 era, and now we are using the same skills to tell the story of the 'Good Vibes Club' through animated shorts, physical works, and real-life experiences. It's like a combination of Pixar and the Web3 era, with community involvement shaping the narrative.
As a commercial animation studio, we have helped shape the identities of some globally recognized brands - Facebook, Reddit, Google, and more - thus we have a unique advantage in the Web3 era. We plan to create significant brand moments through animation, and our long-term vision is to see the 'Good Vibes Club' IP appear in top-tier content.
OpenSea: Tell us more about Vibetown. Is it a metaverse? Or a media asset? What can holders expect?
Chris: Imagine if New York City and a Caribbean island had a child - where the temperature is always 75 degrees Fahrenheit (about 23 degrees Celsius), trendy music plays on the streets, and everyone is immersed in a vibrant atmosphere. This is Vibetown, not a traditional metaverse, but a narrative universe brought to life through animation.
Tyler: We created some story-rich characters, like 'Bad Vibes Guy' - our Grinch-like villain - and 'Vibefoot', a mysterious and beloved fan favorite. These characters have already been visually represented, and you'll start seeing them in short animated stories on social media and other platforms.

OpenSea: Let's talk about rarity. How did you design the distribution of the collectibles?
Chris: We built a dual-layer system. First, there's an obvious hierarchy - 1/1, cosmic guardians, gold, rainbow, etc., which clarifies the structure. Meanwhile, we also embedded rare traits, allowing the community to define what they value, like hoodie styles or 'cannabis enthusiast' traits that are gradually becoming popular. We love to see this natural interaction.
OpenSea: Have you seen what some people are calling 'PFP fatigue'? How do you keep this series feeling fresh and emotionally resonant?
Tyler: Exactly, many 2D series were quickly mass-produced during the gaming craze, but Good Vibes Club took three and a half years. We adhere to artistic principles, blending emotionally charged narratives into every layer - from character expressions to color usage.
Chris: An excellent PFP should serve as both an avatar and a work of art. It should be compact yet substantial, and this dual goal guides every decision we make. We don’t want the entire floor filled with 'mediocrity'; each piece must feel like someone’s favorite.

OpenSea: This series is now live. Where can people find you? What are the next steps for Vibes?
Tyler: Please follow us on Twitter. We are about to announce our launch event (scheduled during NFT NYC), and we will also be hosting at NFC Lisbon. More animations and backstories are coming soon, and the community will have more ways to contribute to the IP. This is just the beginning; we are also collaborating with one of the most active brands in the web3 space and are excited to share more information soon.
Chris: If you've ever thought about participating in something joyful, thoughtful, and creative, we are creating it together with you now. Best of luck.
OpenSea: That's really interesting. Congratulations on realizing three years of hard work.
Tyler: We are very grateful.
