📌 British Prime Minister Keir Starmer unveiled a 'reset' agreement for relations with the European Union during a joint press conference with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa at Lancaster House in London, marking the first official summit of its kind between the United Kingdom and the EU since Britain's exit from the Union.
📌 Starmer described the agreement as 'mutually beneficial,' affirming that 'Britain is back on the global stage,' pointing out that agreements with India, America, and the European Union demonstrate his country's return to the forefront of the international scene.
📌 One of the key provisions of the agreement stipulates extending European fishing vessels' access to British waters until 2038, in exchange for removing a number of trade barriers that had delayed import and export operations, particularly for food and agricultural products.
