Today is Monday, and I reviewed the situation of building my personal social brand last week. Fortunately, despite the overall traffic restrictions and strict risk control on Twitter this week, my various metrics are still quite respectable.

Twitter followers have increased from 1800 to over 2500; @KaitoAI has gained 28 new followers; @ethos_network has also successfully surpassed 1800, officially entering the second half of the 'golden period'. The data for Kaito and Ethos can both be displayed on their respective plugins on the Twitter homepage, which is very friendly for building a personal brand.

With such results, I am personally quite satisfied. In the coming week, I will continue to strictly implement the established plan and hope that through six months of sustained effort, I can see more significant results.

However, looking at the present, Twitter's competition is becoming increasingly severe, with everyone acting as a KOL. Of course, how many KOLs are excessively packaged and how much leverage their fans have added, only they themselves know.

A worrying phenomenon is that despite the explosive growth in the number of KOLs, the quality of content related to Web3 topics is in sharp decline. The phenomenon of content homogenization is alarming, and the traces of AI generation are becoming more pronounced. Some KOLs that rely heavily on AI tools to mass-produce low-quality content have numerous flaws in their posted content, not only mixing up facts but also failing to guarantee basic data accuracy. I suspect they have not genuinely participated in the relevant projects themselves.

Once upon a time, a brief browse on Twitter would reveal interesting quality content. Nowadays, the information flow is filled with a large amount of Kaito's brainwashing copy akin to 'brain platinum', which is even more disturbing than the previous matrix-style KOL marketing. Furthermore, platforms like Binance's Alpha score-boosting strategies and profit-sharing posts have severely polluted my information-gathering experience.

Of course, while I can complain, facing such a trend, instead of passively resisting, it might be better to adapt and participate, perhaps even accelerating the decline of this model together. After all, no one will go against their own interests; involving friends and family might also expose the unsustainability of such models more quickly.

I believe that I am not the only one who feels disgusted by this homogenized, brainwashing content. So, does this also mean that if we can provide some truly different content that resonates with people, and find the directions they genuinely like, it will be easier to stand out and attract attention?

Looking at Twitter, there are indeed many accounts with a strong personal touch, such as 破狼 @Wolfy_XBT, 嗯哼 @EnHeng456, 凉兮 @liangxihuigui, 冰蛙 @Ice_Frog666666... Some comment that they are deliberately 'creating personas', but in my view, they are more authentically being themselves, showcasing their truest and most unique sides to their fans: whether it's 'flattering' with distinctiveness or 'criticizing' with sharpness, or even 'going crazy' with wildness...

If you are struggling to find direction on the path to building your personal brand, why not try shedding the disguise and being your most authentic self, bravely showcasing who you are.

Above are some of my disorganized thoughts and musings.
