Can ETH still hold on? Let's talk about my true thoughts
Recently, many people have been asking me: "Is ETH really failing? Is SOL going to replace it?" To be honest, as an old player who has been playing with ETH since 2017, I am indeed a bit disappointed with ETH's performance over the past two years. Especially when I see SOL doubling randomly while ETH is still dragging its feet, many old players have started to waver.
However! The successful upgrade of ETH in Prague on May 7 made me see a turning point. This upgrade not only improved network performance but, more importantly, conveyed a message to the market: the ETH development team is still making efforts. It's like giving old players a shot of adrenaline, indicating that this project hasn't given up.
Speaking of the topic of SOL surpassing ETH, I find it quite interesting. SOL does have its advantages, such as fast speed and low transaction fees, making it particularly popular among new players. But ETH is like an established shopping mall; although it looks a bit old, it has many reliable merchants (DApps) inside. SOL is more like a newly built shopping center that looks shiny and beautiful but often suffers from power outages (downtime). Which one do you think is more worthy of long-term investment?
I have observed an interesting phenomenon: every time ETH drops to around 2100, large funds come in to support it. What does this indicate? It indicates that institutions have not given up on ETH at all. They are playing psychological games, repeatedly shaking the market to wash out the hesitant retail investors.
Speaking of investment strategies, I have a few hard-earned lessons to share:
1. Don’t wait until it rises to regret. Many people were afraid to buy ETH at 1300, waited for a correction at 2000, and then regretted it when it hit 4000. This mindset really doesn’t make money.
2. Don’t treat investment like dating. I have seen too many people stubbornly hold on because of "faith", only to miss the best selling opportunity.
3. Be cautious with altcoins. In this bull market, apart from a few leaders, most altcoins didn't even hold the bear market lows.
Finally, let me say something from the heart: the most important thing in investment is to remain rational. Don’t be swayed by market emotions, and don’t take every rumor as the truth. Do you think ETH still has a chance? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments~ Remember, the market is always changing, but the logic of making money never changes: buy low, sell high, and follow the trend.
