Recently, airdrop activities in the crypto circle have become popular again, especially the new Alpha activity launched by Binance. Everyone is crazy about earning points, and now everyone should be checking their points, right?

As an old hand who has participated in quite a few airdrops, let me share some insights with you.

Benefits of airdrops:

1. Zero-cost profit: Like the Uniswap airdrop, many people picked up tokens worth $1200 for free.

2. High project exposure: Some projects have directly multiplied their user base through airdrops.

3. Long-term benefits: Participating in governance can also earn you extra rewards.

But there are many pitfalls:

⚠️ Currently, it is advised not to touch the airdrops on the S chain of the competition; the cost-performance ratio is too low at the moment. (Tested personally)

⚠️ Many airdrop tokens eventually become "air tokens" and are worthless.

⚠️ Scam projects may induce you to authorize your wallet, then clean out your assets.

⚠️ Large-scale airdrops are often accompanied by crashes, making it easy to get trapped.

Personal experience sharing:

- Use a separate wallet to participate in airdrops; do not use the main wallet that holds large assets.

- Prioritize projects with actual applications, such as DeFi and NFTs.

- You can participate in the Binance Alpha activity, but don't invest too much; manage your time costs well.

- After receiving the tokens, handle them in a timely manner; don’t wait until there’s a crash to regret it.

Recently, I've seen many people staying up late every day just to earn airdrops, which is really unnecessary. Remember, safety comes first in the crypto circle, and making money is second. Those seemingly too good "pie-in-the-sky" offers are often traps.
