The altcoin bull season is what all our users want. This typically occurs during the main upward trend of BTC and the rising trend of ETH exchange rates. Basically, most altcoins in the market will see a decent increase.

For example, in February to March and November to December of last year, there were good performances both on-chain and in the secondary market.

The altcoin mini-season, like the current small trend since April, involves a left-side decline, a stable bottom, and a right-side rebound. At this time, it is a rebound after an oversold condition, and perhaps there will be 5-10x coins, but regardless of whether it's on-chain or in the secondary market, the increase won't match the main upward wave stage, so it's considered an altcoin mini-season.

The bottoming rebound altcoin rebound season, a classic example is last year's recovery after the bottoming at 85. The magnitude is lower, so it's only called a rebound season.

This is my personal summary of altcoin performance. Influenced by market funds, sentiment, and enthusiasm, I have a general understanding of each significant opportunity.

So how do you choose altcoins each time? I will share my personal views.

During the altcoin bull season, both the primary and secondary markets perform well. Market funds, enthusiasm, and sentiment (FOMO) are at their best, so generally, in the secondary market, as long as your luck isn't too bad, buying basically means profit. If you want to earn more, you might need to put in some research effort, focusing on L1 and new market plays. For example, didn't we see impressive new memes like #pnut in November to December last year?

So my personal allocation is like this: mainstream coins like BTC and ETH, then altcoins I have personally researched in the secondary market, and a portion in speculative coins. The specific ratio depends on the individual.

During the altcoin mini-season, pay attention to those with a 24-hour trading volume exceeding $100 million during market downturns, especially in sectors like L1, AI, MEME, etc., that are ranked higher. For example, look at whether pnut rebounded after being oversold. Also, PEPE has a very decent trading volume, sometimes even better than SUI.

For the bottoming rebound altcoin rebound season, I personally think it's mainly about playing mainstream altcoins like SOL and BNB. Then spend time searching for potentially new bull market speculative coins related to promising sectors.

Why? Because this stage is often on the eve of a new main upward wave market. It is both a moment to earn and a moment to position oneself. The market will give you time; it will demonstrate an M and then a V trend.
