As the most anticipated L2, Abstract has maintained its popularity since going online independently, effortlessly dominating the Kaito leaderboard.
Recently, Fat Penguin CEO @LucaNetz revealed in an interview that Abstract plans to issue tokens in Q4 this year, with an expected FDV of 5 to 10 billion USD.
This time, I choose to continue believing.
You can mock Luca's daydreams or complain about Abstract being time-consuming and costly, but several facts cannot be denied:
① Abstract is the most user-engaging L2, not pursuing false TVL, focusing on fun.
② Some players find their comfort zone, playing while earning, and receiving the Abstract airdrop in advance.
③ Abstract assets are not affected by the market; NFTs and Memes explode at their own pace.
In the next month, Abstract will welcome several high-quality NFT assets, including the one I am very much looking forward to: @monstersdotfun, a gaming platform driven by AI Agents, which will release the Genesis NFT 'Monster Capsules' in collaboration with Opensea on May 21, priced at 0.125 ETH, with a total of only 750.
According to the official introduction, 'Monster Capsules' belong to core assets, and holders can receive the highest rewards from the Monsters ecosystem, including but not limited to Season 1 Monster token whitelists, ecosystem airdrops, and exclusive in-game skins/boosters.
Monsters' main players are foreigners, with only a few Abstract players in the Chinese community paying attention. Due to the scarcity of the total supply of Genesis NFTs, the attributes are highly sought after, and the off-market whitelist has been speculated to 600 U.
What exactly does this project do? Why is it so awesome? Next, I will share the firsthand information I have collected over the past few months, hoping you can catch the last train.
1. Core gameplay: AI creation—battle—growth.
Monsters creates a game project that combines entertainment and investment potential through AI-driven monster battles, NFT token economics, and PvP game mechanisms, with core highlights being the autonomous evolution of AI agents and the market linkage of the curve economic model.
It allows users to create unique Monsters through AI and participate in PVP battle games. During this process, AI Agents will record and analyze all your battle data, helping you continuously train and grow, enjoying the thrill of leveling up.
2. Professional team + luxurious advisory lineup.
Founder @moodsMoodi is committed to building innovative products and has collaborated with Georgia Tech and Avalanche on multiple projects.
Market leader @kickzeth is the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) of the Web3 marketing agency @apcollectiveio, which has fully supported the Abstract ecosystem since the testnet phase.
The advisory lineup is impressive, including key contributors to Abstract @0xCygaar and a host of industry bigwigs: @BCheque1 @SanjayWeb3 @Rahim_mahtab @legendarygainz_ @S4mmyEth @eeelistar @Defi0xJeff.
3. Official support from Abstract.
In October last year, Abstract officially launched the Builder-in-Residence program to form the most eager, bold, and elite builder team, with only a very few elites passing the assessment.
After a selection process lasting 3 months, 5 projects including Monsters and Onchain Heroes successfully advanced, becoming the first batch of Builder-in-Residence members, receiving various support from the official, such as monthly funding, marketing support, developer assistance, and mentorship.
Simply put, Builder-in-Residence is an elite support program for the Abstract ecosystem, where selected projects have already won at the starting line and are expected to become the flag bearers of the entire ecosystem.
4. Community is super active.
Monsters' social media channels mainly include Twitter and Discord, each of which is worth deep research.
The official Twitter was created in November last year, with the first tweet on December 28, where official personnel and experienced players interacted; so far, 82 tweets have been published, each with very high interaction.
According to Xhunt data, this account's followers include 349 global KOLs, 106 Chinese KOLs, and 1 Top 100 KOL, which is already a decent achievement for a newly established account that has been operating for a few months.
It is worth mentioning that the 220 people I follow are all Monsters fans, including many Fat Penguin and Abstract members, as well as many well-known projects and industry OGs.
DC opened on May 1 this year, with over 24,000 existing members. The public channel has posted over 330,000 messages, averaging 20,000 messages per day, which is terrifying.
Based on my observations over the past few months, DC members are mainly foreigners, very enthusiastic and talkative, with nearly 4,000 online members at midnight, which is a very high proportion of the total number.
5. Genesis NFTs are hard to come by.
Monster Capsules are the Genesis NFTs that will soon be launched on Opensea, with a total of 750.
