A Night of Disco, Design, and Dedication: Inside Closely Crafted’s Sparkling Move the Needle Gala After Dark
On Thursday evening, Closely Crafted celebrated its third annual Move the Needle gala—this time with a dazzling disco flair. Hosted at Petite Disco in downtown Manhattan, the After Dark event paid tribute to the elegance and artistry of the disco era while highlighting the talents of the artisans shaping the future of American fashion.
Established in 2022 by milliner Gigi Burris O’Hara, Closely Crafted is dedicated to preserving domestic craftsmanship through education, apprenticeships, and advocacy. “Passing down artisan skills to the next generation is a true privilege,” Burris O’Hara shared. “Having access to skilled, local makers allowed me to grow my business sustainably, and ensuring others have the same opportunity is a mission close to my heart.”
