#GOAT Network rolled out BitVM2 — a test network aimed at taking Bitcoin scaling to a new level. Sounds cool? Yes. But what does it really mean?

◾️BitVM2 testnet launched — a tool for launching decentralized applications with Bitcoin transactions.

◾️Promises native security, zkRollup, zkMIPS, and faster calls (less than a day).

◾️GOAT wants to become the “Layer-2 for $BTC ,” without changing Bitcoin itself.

💭 Thoughts from Mr. Belferman:

When I read “BitVM2,” “SNARKs,” and “zkMIPS” — I experience an internal DoS. But if this really works and allows writing dApps on BTC — then we are no longer in 2013.

It seems soon the argument “Bitcoin is just for storage” will no longer hold.

Question: will the code withstand what even some blockchain memes cannot?
