PARALLEL #Mercado financial and #Existential life.
Just like in the financial market, where a loss only becomes real when an asset is sold at a lower price, in our lives, difficult moments, losses, and frustrations can be seen as "existential PNLs". They represent a "potential loss", a present pain or difficulty, but that has not yet become a "realized loss", meaning a permanent and defining condition.
"Death" as the final "stop" is powerful and makes us reflect on the transient nature of difficulties. As long as we are alive and continue to "operate" in our journey, there is always a possibility that unfavorable situations can reverse, that we learn from them, that we find new opportunities, and that the "prices" of our life (our happiness, well-being, success) can rise again.
Interesting parallels between financial PNL and "existential PNL":
The unrealized nature: Just as a declining stock can still appreciate, a moment of difficulty does not need to define our future. The situation can change, our feelings can evolve, and new perspectives can emerge.
That’s why it is said, "hope is the last to die."
