#EthereumSecurityInitiative

On May 14, 2025, the Ethereum Foundation announced the launch of the "Trillion Dollar Security" (1TS) initiative aimed at enhancing the security of the Ethereum network to standards that exceed those of traditional financial systems.

Key objectives of the initiative:

Scalable Security: Ensure the ability to securely store assets worth over one trillion dollars, both for individual users and large organizations.

Three-phase approach:

1. Mapping: Analyzing current vulnerabilities and strengths of the Ethereum technology stack.

2. Execution: Implementing prioritized improvements and long-term projects to enhance security.

3. Communication: Informing the community about achieved improvements and the current state of network security.

Project leaders:

The initiative is led by Fredrik Svante, head of protocol security at the Ethereum Foundation, and Josh Stark from the foundation's management team. They are joined by security experts: samczsun, founder of Security Alliance (SEAL); Mehdi Zerouali, co-founder of Sigma Prime; and Zach Obront, co-founder of Etherealize.

Call to the community:

The Ethereum Foundation emphasizes the importance of wide ecosystem participation in achieving the initiative's goals and invites all interested parties to collaborate to enhance network security.
