🍕Do you know how "Pizza Day" came about?
It wasn't set up for pizza, but to commemorate the person who bought two pizzas for 10,000 bitcoins.
In 2009, someone spent 10,000 BTC to have someone order two Papa John's pizzas for him.
That day was May 22, which also became the first day in history for "completing a real goods transaction with Bitcoin."
Since then, every year on May 22, the Crypto community celebrates Bitcoin Pizza Day.
Not for the pizza, but to honor the person who dared to try and truly believed in the value of Bitcoin.
So now every year during Pizza Day, we eat pizza, give out benefits, and hold events,
it's not just a sense of ritual, but also a transmission of consensus that "we are still here."
