Binance's former CEO Zhao Changpeng (CZ) suddenly introduced the story of his dog Broccoli, sparking a wave of meme coins named after his beloved pet.

CZ revealed that the story of getting a dog began a year and a half ago when he was chatting with a friend who owns a zoo in Dubai and inquired about dog breeds suitable for the hot local weather. That very night, his friend sent him a young Belgian Malinois along with a passport.

Zhao Changpeng stated that he wanted to give his dog a name starting with 'B' that has a green connotation, so he chose 'Broccoli'. He also joked that the name sounds a lot like 'Blockchain', saying, 'I just can't escape from cryptocurrency.' #Borccoli
