Is it usually a bad idea to share your trading strategy with anyone else? Are there any downsides to sharing your strategy, like the risk of others copying it or using it against you? Or is it pretty common for traders to share their strategies with others to get feedback and help each other out? If you haven't shared your strategy with anyone, what made you decide not to? Have you thought about the benefits of sharing your strategy, like getting suggestions for improvement or collaborating with others to make more money? How do you weigh the pros and cons of sharing your strategy with others?
Some context: I want to get my strategy converted into algo. But i am concerned whether sharing the strategy with the algo developer is a good idea.
