Listen, I want to tell you about a really interesting thing that happened on the Ethereum network — this is an update called Pectra. It looks like another technical update, but in fact it opened the door to the world of "smart" wallets for ordinary users. All thanks to a new standard called EIP-7702.

Previously, if you wanted to use a smart wallet - with features like automatic payments, multi—signatures, or spending restrictions — you had to bother with complex settings. It wasn't for everyone. And now, with EIP-7702, any standard wallet can temporarily delegate its authority to a smart contract, and thus gain access to all these cool features — without abandoning the usual security.

Moreover, this is not done forever, but only temporarily. There is even a special indicator that shows whether delegation is activated. You can cancel everything at any time and become a "regular" user again. It's like connecting superfunctions on demand — without risk and with complete freedom.

And yes, people really got the idea — there were more than 11,000 such authorizations in the first week. And now there is a real race between platforms and wallets for who will implement this functionality faster and steeper. For example, the WhiteBit exchange has already conducted over 5,300 transactions through EIP-7702, most likely also covering gas fees for the convenience of users. OKX stands out among the wallets with 3100+ authorizations, and MetaMask, although not among the leaders in terms of number, processes larger transactions in terms of amounts — that is, they have an audience with serious investments.

By the way, in addition to this, Pectra also helps to scale the network by optimizing the processing of "blob" data (this helps Layer 2 solutions to work faster and cheaper). But the main breakthrough is that now anyone can access the capabilities of smart wallets without being a tech guy.

In short, this is all a game changer. Smart wallets are becoming not some kind of elite tool, but literally a button-by-button standard. And I have a question for you.: would you try such a feature in your wallet if it was done in a couple of clicks and without the risk of losing control?
