Tao Te Ching Chapter Five:
Heaven and Earth are not benevolent,
They treat all things like straw dogs.
The Sage is not benevolent,
He treats the people like straw dogs.
Between Heaven and Earth,
Is it not like a bellows?
Empty yet inexhaustible,
Moving yet ever producing.
Too much talk leads to exhaustion,
It is better to hold to the center.
