Odaily Planet Daily reported that Berkshire Hathaway's Chairman and CEO Buffett, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, said: "For some reason, I didn't really start to feel old until I was about 90, but once you start aging, the change is irreversible." It has been reported that Buffett has occasionally started to lose his balance and sometimes struggles to remember other people's names. Buffett stated: "True talent is extremely rare, rare in the business field, rare in capital allocation, and rare in almost all human activities. To be honest, it would be unfair not to appoint Abel to this position (CEO); the longer Berkshire benefits from Abel, the better." Buffett praised Abel as both a manager and a deal maker: "The difference in energy levels and work output between him during a 10-hour workday and my performance is becoming increasingly apparent; he is more efficient in completing tasks, managing adjustments, helping those in need, and other areas." Buffett acknowledged that aging has diminished some of his abilities, but he stated that he still possesses perhaps the most valuable and rare talent as an investor: "I have no difficulty making decisions, whether it was 20 years ago, 40 years ago, or 60 years ago when I made those decisions. If the market panics, I can still be of use because I am not afraid when prices drop or when others feel panic; this really has nothing to do with age." Recently, Berkshire's large reserves of cash and government bonds have been steadily increasing, drawing public attention as people wonder where the company will trade next. Buffett said: "Abel will have ideas about where the funds should be directed."
