As of April 27, the number of homes for sale in Washington, D.C. has surged by 25.1% year-over-year, reaching 12,649 units, the highest level since 2022.
This is the largest year-over-year increase on record.
In contrast, the national active listings of homes for sale increased by 14.2%, the smallest increase since March 2024.
Additionally, the number of new listings in Washington, D.C. skyrocketed by 11.4%, reaching the highest level since 2022.
This is nearly twice the national increase of +5.8%.
