“Historic Diplomatic Gathering: Leaders Unite for a New Era in Syria”

Today, at the request of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, President Trump met with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa. Turkish President Erdogan joined the meeting by phone. Erdogan praised Trump for lifting sanctions on Syria and pledged to work with Saudi Arabia to promote peace and stability in the region. The Crown Prince also applauded Trump’s move, calling it bold and courageous.

President Trump expressed appreciation for their support and friendship. He told President al-Sharaa that Syria now has a real chance to make history. Trump urged him to take action for the good of the Syrian people and encouraged him to:

1. Join the Abraham Accords with Israel

2. Expel all foreign terrorist fighters from Syria

3. Deport Palestinian terrorist elements

4. Partner with the U.S. to stop any ISIS comeback

5. Take control of ISIS detainee facilities in Northeast Syria

President al-Sharaa thanked all the leaders for bringing the meeting together. He highlighted the opportunity created by Iran’s withdrawal from Syria and emphasized the shared interests with the U.S. in fighting terrorism and eliminating chemical weapons. He also reaffirmed Syria’s commitment to the# 1974 disengagement agreement with Israel.

President al-Sharaa ended by expressing his vision for Syria as a bridge for trade between East and West and invited U.S. companies to invest in Syria’s oil and gas sector.

The leaders also touched on the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
