#美国加征关税 The United States is starting to stir things up again by imposing tariffs on Chinese imports. This time it involves a whole bunch of items such as electric vehicle batteries, computer chips, medical products, and more.
Biden spoke at the White House with great righteousness, claiming, "We must ensure fair competition and not let Chinese goods flood the American market." But to put it bluntly, isn't it just that they are anxious because we are developing too rapidly? The Chinese Ministry of Commerce is not holding back either, immediately stating that measures will be taken to defend our interests; this counterattack will definitely not be absent.
With this tariff increase, Biden has retained the tariffs set by Trump previously and has significantly raised tariffs on certain goods, such as the tariff on electric vehicles which has quadrupled, and the semiconductor tariff has also doubled. The value of affected Chinese imports amounts to as much as $18 billion, covering areas like steel, aluminum, semiconductors, and electric vehicles. Although the number of electric vehicles imported from China to the U.S. is not large, this action has more political significance than actual impact; it's clearly aimed at showing voters and trying to win votes.
