Background of Tariff Adjustment #美国加征关税

The long-standing trade tensions between China and the United States have drawn global attention. To alleviate these tensions, both parties reached an important consensus after high-level economic and trade talks, deciding to adjust the tariffs imposed on each other.

Contents of Tariff Adjustment

​​Tariffs imposed on the U.S. reduced to 10%​​: According to the agreement, China will lower the tariff rate on imported goods originating from the United States from 34% to 10%. This adjustment will suspend the implementation of an additional 24% tariff for 90 days.

​​U.S. Tariff Adjustment​​: The U.S. will reduce the tariffs on goods from China (including Hong Kong and Macau) from 145% to 30%.

Implementation of the Agreement

​​Legal and Regulatory Basis​​: This adjustment is made according to the "Customs Law of the People's Republic of China," "Customs Law of the People's Republic of China," "Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China," and other laws and regulations as well as basic principles of international law.
