Breaking News: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers with a wind speed of 45-60 kph over four regions of the country.

Thundershowers accompanied by temporary west or northwesterly squally winds are likely to occur over the regions of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet, the BMD said in an inland riverport warning valid till 1pm on Tuesday (May 13).

The river ports in these areas have been asked to hoist cautionary signal number 1, the notification says.

Rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Dhaka and Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places, says another Met Office forecast.
