Bangladesh famous Artist Ex-MP Momtaz arrested.

Police’s Detective Branch (DB) arrested former Manikgaj-2 parliamentarian and singer Momtaz Begum from the city’s Dhanmondi area on Monday (May 12). She is accused in multiple cases filed over the July uprising. Momtaz will be produced before the court today

Momtaz, a prominent folk singer, has recorded more than 700 songs in her four-decade career. She won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer three times for the films Nekabborer Mohaproyan (2014), Swatta (2017) and Maya: The Lost Mother (2019).
