Odaily Planet Daily News: Judge Edward Mellor of the High Court of England has issued a comprehensive injunction against Craig Wright, a computer scientist who claims to be 'Satoshi Nakamoto', prohibiting him from continuing to file defamation lawsuits. In a ruling on May 12, Judge Mellor pointed out that Wright's repeated false statements and aggressive litigation have created legal 'predicaments' for individuals and developers in the Bitcoin community, and he has attempted to 'weaponize the legal system' to intimidate critics. His lawsuits are often based on forged evidence, forcing others to spend significant time and money on legal defenses. Previously, in 2021, the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) sued Wright for his long-term false claims of being the inventor of Bitcoin. In March of last year, a UK court ruled that he was not related to the creation of Bitcoin, and in December he received a one-year suspended sentence for contempt of court. This injunction marks the end of nearly a decade of legal theatrics, during which Wright also initiated defamation lawsuits against Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and others. (Cointelegraph)
