Trump's tariff war essentially imposes approximately 10% import tariffs on all countries, including China. In the past, presidential candidates often balanced the budget by reducing taxes for low-income groups while increasing taxes for high-income earners; however, Trump significantly cut taxes for the poor, the rich, and corporations alike. At first glance, it seems that everyone benefits, but in reality, the American people are paying a 'tax for intelligence' that brought him to power.
So, how is the fiscal gap to be filled? Trump's 'solution' is to impose tariffs globally, but this 'revenue' ultimately gets passed on to ordinary families who depend on cheap imported goods. For example, buying three pairs of $10 socks at Walmart, which should benefit low-income groups, becomes more expensive due to rising tariffs; meanwhile, high-end brand products purchased by the wealthy are minimally affected. Under the banner of 'Making America Great Again' and 'Manufacturing Returning', the lower-class people in the U.S. have become 'chives', yet they still applaud this.
