#TradeWarEases Presentation of the US-China Trade Agreement
The US has decided to reduce tariffs on Chinese products from 145% to 30% over the next 90 days, while China will also reduce tariffs on US goods from 125% to 10%.
To enhance long-term cooperation and address deeper economic issues, both countries have agreed to initiate a new platform for economic dialogue.
Markets reacted positively after the news was made public—S&P 500 futures rose by 2.8%, the dollar increased by 0.7%, and gold prices fell by 2.3%.
Prior to this agreement, the US had imposed tariffs of up to 145% on Chinese imports at the beginning of 2025, and China responded with its own tariffs of 125%, which led to increased trade tensions.
