What elements are needed to become a trading expert? I believe there are three:
The first element is objectivity and neutrality. When dealing with others' opinions and market news, one should have no personal thoughts. Maintain objectivity and neutrality, avoiding any emotions. Act according to the rules; if it aligns, act; if not, refrain. When there are no trading opportunities, read books or enjoy tea. When opportunities arise, maintain high attention and be ready at all times.
The second element is to plan your trades. There is a saying: plan your trades, trade your plans. Based on our strategies, we should create a solid trading plan. When the opportunity truly comes, trade according to our plan. After making a trading plan, we need to patiently wait for the final confirmation signal. When there is no trading plan, patiently wait for the plan to emerge. Once the confirmation signal appears, act decisively. After opening a position, patiently wait to either hit the stop loss or reach the take profit level.
The third element is that no method or strategy will be 100% effective. After opening a position, be prepared for the worst. You can have expectations for the outcome of this trade, but do not set them too high. With moderate expectations, when the market turns against you, there won’t be too much pain. When the market runs smoothly and the results are good, it will exceed expectations. There will be a small joy in your heart. Trading ultimately is about this: no great sorrow, no great joy. Face trading with composure, and within, there will be peace and tranquility. If you earn money, you are overjoyed and share the news; if you lose money, you feel gloomy and even regretful, losing control of your emotions. This indicates that you still have a long way to go in trading.
