The global cryptocurrency market has grown robustly, reaching a market capitalization of $3.34 trillion, thanks to the impressive surge of Ethereum and altcoins.
The global cryptocurrency market continued its impressive rise on Sunday, bringing the total capitalization to $3.34 trillion. The growth momentum comes from both top coins and small-cap altcoins, with 24-hour trading volume increasing by 4.90% to $137.7 billion.
The top 10 cryptocurrencies all experienced price increases.
Bitcoin continues to hold its leading position, trading at $104,780 after a 1% increase in the day and 9.77% over the week. However, Ethereum is the shining star with an impressive increase of 4.71% in 24 hours and 37.83% over the past 7 days, reaching a price of $2,522.86.
According to statistics from coinglass.com, approximately $451.3 million in cryptocurrency derivatives positions were liquidated in the past day.
Together, BTC and ETH currently account for 71.3% of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization, affirming the dominant position of the two leading coins. Solana (SOL) has had the most notable trading week among the top 10 coins, rising sharply by 19.42% over 7 days, reaching $173.96.
Not to be outdone, XRP and BNB also recorded significant gains over the week, at 8.74% and 10.88% respectively, although their recent 24-hour growth has been quite modest.
Among the top gainers yesterday, Pi Network (PI) led with an impressive increase of 49.86%, followed by Casper Network (CSPR) with 47.96% and Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT) with 39.10%. On the contrary, Ultima was the token that declined the most, losing 14.42% of its value in the day.
The broad growth reflects positive market sentiment, with strength coming from both blue-chip coins and smaller-cap assets. However, experts still recommend that investors maintain discipline and caution in a market that continues to be influenced by sentiment and may experience strong fluctuations in the short term.
The increase in total market trading volume to $137.7 billion in the past 24 hours indicates strong investment activity, further reinforcing the current growth momentum of the market.
