Binance Launches Timed Red Packet Feature

A Modern Twist on a Classic Tradition

Binance, a global leader in cryptocurrency exchange, has upgraded its popular Red Packet feature by introducing a Timed Red Packet — adding a time-based redemption window to digital crypto gifts. Inspired by the traditional red envelopes used during festivals and celebrations, this update brings a new level of excitement and urgency to crypto gifting.

What’s New: Expiration Timer

The Timed Red Packet allows users to set a custom time limit — anywhere between 1 to 60 minutes — after the first claim is made. Once the timer expires, any unclaimed portions of the gift become invalid, making the process more secure, limited, and dynamic.

More Control and Security

With the expiration timer, users gain greater control over when their crypto gift is accessible. The sender remains responsible for sharing the redemption link. Once the set time passes, the link becomes inactive — ensuring the gift doesn’t remain available indefinitely or fall into the wrong hands.

How to Send a Timed Red Packet

Creating a Timed Red Packet is simple:

-Log in to Binance via app or web.

-Navigate to the "Pay" section.

-Select "Red Packet" → "Create" → choose "Timed".

-Set duration, number of recipients, crypto amount, and an optional message.

-Confirm the transaction with your security credentials.

-Share the link or code through any platform.

Empowering Global Gifting

Binance’s Timed Red Packet enhances both the fun and security of sending crypto, while honoring cultural gifting traditions in a modern, digital form. This update reflects Binance’s mission to make crypto more engaging, personal, and globally accessible.
