U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance will deliver a keynote address at Bitcoin 2025 in Las Vegas on May 28, organizers announced Friday.

Las Vegas Bitcoin Summit Draws VP Vance for ‘Code + Country’ Speech
The three-day conference, hosted by BTC Inc. at The Venetian Las Vegas, is expected to draw more than 30,000 attendees. J.D. Vance’s remarks will anchor the “Code + Country” programming track and be streamed globally via Bitcoin Magazine’s platforms. His speech is set for 9 a.m. on May 28, the event’s second day.
The event news release shared with Bitcoin.com News notes that Vance, a vocal critic of financial regulatory overreach during his Senate tenure, has previously condemned actions such as Canada’s 2022 bank account freezes as examples of centralized control risks. He has also criticized the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) approach to cryptocurrency oversight, advocating for clearer policies around open-source monetary systems.
Organizers said his keynote will focus on bitcoin’s potential to bolster innovation, financial sovereignty, and national resilience. “This is more than a headline moment — it’s a signal,” said BTC Inc. CEO David Bailey. He added:
Bitcoin is at the forefront of the national conversation.
Bitcoin 2025 will feature leaders from tech, finance and policy sectors. Past speakers include U.S. President Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and executives from major financial institutions. The event underscores bitcoin’s growing intersection with mainstream economic and political discourse.
The conference runs May 27-29. Registration details and live stream access are available on Bitcoin Magazine’s website. Bitcoin.com News will also be in attendance at The Venetian Las Vegas.
