Recent progress of Zksync:
1. Achieved complete EVM equivalence. This means that Zksync has introduced an EVM execution mode in the EVM bytecode interpreter, allowing unmodified EVM bytecode to run on the ZK chain. EraVM remains the primary execution environment, with the EVM interpreter serving as a translation layer to execute EVM bytecode on EraVM. As a result, deploying Solidity and Vyper contracts does not require recompilation; it is compatible with Ethereum standard tools and works with Foundry, Hardhat, and Remix without the need for additional plugins or modifications... For developers, building on Zksync is easier than before.
2. Introduced solx, a new Solidity-to-EVN compiler built on LLVM, facilitating the portability of Solidity and helping to reduce gas consumption, among other benefits. Additionally, it prepares for Ethereum's future transition to a RISC-V type VM, aiming to adopt the new architecture with minimal changes.
3. Currently, the Zk elastic chain ecosystem has over 19 elastic chains, including WonderFi (Canada's largest compliant crypto platform with about 1.7 million users) launching a customized ZK chain; Abstract (a consumer chain built on the ZK elastic chain by Fat Penguin); Tradable (private credit tokenization, currently the main contributor to zkysnc ecosystem RWA); UBS (has deployed a proof of concept for tokenized gold on the zkysnc Validium testnet); Unionchain (connecting institutional RWA of Southeast Asian exchanges, with over 20 million KYC users); Quark (providing decentralized identity ID for residents of Buenos Aires, with 3.6 million residents); Grvt (with an alpha trading volume of $1.3 billion in its first month).
