Current situation:

• Lazarus Group – a hacking group suspected to be linked to North Korea – has carried out major attacks such as:

• Axie Infinity: Lost 622 million USD

• Bybit: Lost 1.4 billion USD (2/2025)

• North Korea is increasing cooperation with Russia, sharing technology and attack tools.

• Some hackers even disguise themselves as job applicants at the exchange (Kraken) to infiltrate internally.

G7 is expected to discuss:

• Ways to prevent, track, and handle stolen crypto funds.

• Strengthening cybersecurity cooperation among member countries.

• Countering the threat from the technology alliance between North Korea and Russia.
