U.S. Senator Chris Murphy published on platform X that he will introduce the "MEME Act", which prohibits presidents or members of Congress from issuing Meme coins. Murphy stated that "Trump coin is the biggest corruption scandal in the history of the White House," and indicated that he will push for the legislation alongside Representative Sam Liccardo to curb such actions.
