#MEMEAct As I mentioned a few days ago, we are closely following the news about the world of cryptocurrencies and politics. Today I wanted to revisit a topic that I briefly mentioned, but that is gaining momentum. U.S. Senator Chris Murphy has formally announced that he will propose a new law, quite particular, which he has called the "MEME Act".

The essence of this proposal, as we had hinted a little, is clear: it seeks to explicitly prohibit the president and members of Congress from issuing what is known as "Meme coins". Senator Murphy did not hold back, specifically labeling the "Trump Coin" as the greatest corruption scandal in the history of the White House. This once again brings to the table the debate we raised: Should politicians and their family members have restrictions or be directly prohibited from launching or promoting cryptoassets? It is a crucial point that raises serious doubts about transparency and potential conflicts of interest. We will continue to inform about the progress of this proposal and the reactions it generates.
