Princess Charlotte, who celebrated her 10th birthday on May 2, shows an astonishing resemblance to her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, not only in appearance but also in character. According to royal experts, the young princess has inherited a rare maturity for her age from Elizabeth II, as well as determination and feistiness from her cousin Princess Anne.
As reported by Oxu.Az, this was shared in a conversation with Hello magazine by royal expert Phil Dampier.
"Winston Churchill once said about Queen Elizabeth that he had never seen such maturity in a young child, and Charlotte seems to have inherited this trait from her great-grandmother, with whom she has supernatural resemblance. I have been told that Charlotte also inherited from the late queen a brilliant ability to mimic outstanding figures. She is a kind soul with a reputation for being feisty and keeping her brothers in check," he noted.
Interestingly, Charlotte not only resembles Elizabeth II in appearance but also shares her passion for an active lifestyle and nature. It is worth recalling that Queen Elizabeth II was known for her love of country life and even served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service - the women's branch of the British Army - during World War II, where she learned driving and mechanical skills.
The new portrait of Charlotte, published on her birthday, showed the public an unusual side of the princess. Instead of traditional dresses, the girl appeared in a camouflage jacket, highlighting her love for outdoor activities.
Expert Emily Nash notes: "Charlotte definitely looks ready for action; it's great to see her looking so casual and relaxed, and clearly having a wonderful time. We know how strongly Kate advocates for her children to spend time outdoors, and that is how the royal family prefers to spend their holidays, especially when they go to Balmoral. I think Charlotte resembles Prince William a lot here, but she also reminds me of the late queen, who loved spending time outdoors, walking, riding, and shooting. The princess has clearly inherited this love for outdoor activities. Kate has spoken about her family holidays in the Lake District, so it seems she continues this tradition with her children."
In addition to her love for nature, Princess Charlotte shares her peers' interests. Last June, Prince William took her and 11-year-old Prince George to a Taylor Swift concert at Wembley Stadium, where the American singer even took a selfie with the royal family members.
Touching moments of Charlotte's relationship with her father reveal her tender side. During a visit to Cape Town, William wore a friendship bracelet with the word "dad," made by his daughter. He also humorously recounted Charlotte's reaction to his beard: "Charlotte didn't like it the first time. I shed tears, so I had to shave it off. Then I grew it back. I convinced her that everything would be fine."
In difficult times, Princess Charlotte proved to be a true support for her mother, Kate, during her cancer treatment. When the Princess of Wales first appeared in public after the diagnosis, it was Charlotte who accompanied her to Wimbledon last July, demonstrating an emotionally mature and supportive character beyond her years.
Phil Dampier emphasizes Charlotte's special position in the royal family: "She reminds me of a princess-queen, as she has a strong character and can tell her brothers what to do. Since Charlotte is the first princess to be above a living brother in the line of succession, she is growing up with a sense of responsibility. She is a great friend to George and Louis, but also a sensitive and intelligent sister who can guide and help them."
