$ETH The Pectra update of Ethereum, deployed on May 7, 2025, is a major hard fork combining the Prague improvements (execution layer) and Electra (consensus layer). It incorporates 11 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIP) aimed at optimizing scalability, security, and user experience.

EIP-7702 revolutionizes account abstraction, allowing external accounts (EOA) to temporarily function as smart contracts. This simplifies complex transactions, allows payment of fees in various tokens, and facilitates wallet recovery, making Ethereum more accessible.

EIP-7251 increases the staking limit from 32 to 2048 ETH per validator, optimizing management for institutional and solo-stakers through super validators, while reducing network load.

EIP-7691 doubles the capacity of blobs (from 6 to 9 per block), improving the scalability of layer 2 and reducing transaction fees. EIP-7002 allows withdrawal keys to initiate staking withdrawals, enhancing user autonomy.

Pectra lays the groundwork for future developments (Verkle Trees, Fusaka) and strengthens Ethereum's competitiveness against Solana or BNB, while attracting developers and users through better UX and efficiency. #PectraUpgrade
