If it becomes law, it would bar the President, members of Congress (and their immediate families) from issuing or promoting meme coins and other digital assets—basically to nip any impropriety in the bud KEYEInternational Business Times.
This crackdown was sparked by the TRUMP memecoin saga—critics warned that former President Trump’s token blurred public service with personal gain and even dangled perks like dinners and tours for top holders Cryptonews.
