BlackRock increases Bitcoin investment, institutional enthusiasm boosts market prospects
Global asset management giant BlackRock continues to deepen its Bitcoin strategy. On May 5, BlackRock spent $531.2 million in a single day, increasing its holdings by 5,640 shares of the spot Bitcoin ETF;
In the past 15 days, a total of $4.6 billion has flowed in, demonstrating its investment determination and reflecting institutional confidence in Bitcoin as a long-term asset.
Data shows that the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF under BlackRock has been steadily increasing its holdings, adding 41,452 Bitcoins (approximately $3.92 billion) in the past two weeks, bringing the total holdings to 614,639 Bitcoins, valued at $58.07 billion, accounting for 51% of the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF market, holding a significant share.
Bitcoin, with its characteristics of decentralization, global circulation, and fixed total supply, has become a choice for hedging against inflation and asset allocation.
In the first quarter of 2025, Bitcoin prices stabilized, volatility reached a new low of 563 days, and its market capitalization reached $1.87 trillion, indicating an increase in the maturity of financial assets.
