Pakistan Showcases Academic Excellence at GETEX 2025 in Dubai
Dubai, UAE – In a landmark moment for Pakistan’s education sector, the nation inaugurated its first-ever pavilion at the prestigious Global Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) 2025 in Dubai. This milestone reflects a significant step toward elevating Pakistan’s presence in the international academic community.
The pavilion was formally inaugurated by His Excellency Hussain Muhammed, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, who served as the Chief Guest at the ceremony. He was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Chairman of the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP). During his keynote remarks, the Consul General commended the active participation of Pakistani private universities, noting that their engagement demonstrates the country's educational growth, innovation, and ambition to compete on a global stage.
Leading a high-level academic mission, Prof. Dr. Rehman heads a delegation of 35 distinguished vice chancellors and senior university representatives. Their collective presence underscores Pakistan’s strong commitment to forging international partnerships and enhancing cross-border educational collaboration.
The pavilion also received a notable visit from His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. He was warmly received by Dr. Rehman and expressed appreciation for the initiative, emphasizing its role in strengthening educational bridges between Pakistan and the UAE. Additionally, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi of Pakistan to the UAE engaged with the academic delegation, lauding their efforts to promote Pakistan’s higher education landscape on an international platform.
