The Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, French Hill (AR-02), the Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, GT Thompson (PA-15), the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and Artificial Intelligence of the House Financial Services Committee, Bryan Steil (WI-01), and the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Commodity Markets, Digital Assets, and Rural Development of the House Agriculture Committee, Dusty Johnson (SD-AL), today released a discussion draft of a bill to establish a regulatory framework for digital assets in the United States.

Chairman Hill stated, "We achieved historic progress in the 118th Congress to reach bipartisan and bicameral consensus on creating a functional regulatory framework for digital assets. Our discussion draft builds on that work and provides the much-needed regulatory clarity for the digital asset ecosystem, protecting consumers and safeguarding the long-term integrity of digital asset markets in the United States. I look forward to receiving public input and working alongside the Trump Administration and my colleagues in the House and Senate to deliver a clear and lasting framework to President Trump, so that the United States remains the global capital of cryptocurrency."

Chairman Thompson added, "Regulatory clarity has long been needed in digital asset markets. Today we take the first step towards advancing a comprehensive framework that protects consumers, fosters innovation, and closes regulatory gaps in oversight. This provides
