A hacker who stole $190 million from the DeFi protocol Nomad in 2022 has been arrested in Israel. According to media reports, the suspect is Alexander Gurevich, a dual citizen of Russia and Israel, who attempted to leave the country using a fake ID under the name Alexander Blok just one day after it was issued.
The U.S. Department of Justice has initiated extradition proceedings. Gurevich faces up to 20 years in prison.
