Worldcoin Crypto Operations ‘Banned’ by Many Countries – Indonesia Not Alone
@Worldcoin , a blockchain project that offers crypto tokens in exchange for biometric data (like iris scans), has been suspended in Indonesia due to licensing violations and suspicious activities. The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs stated the company lacks proper registration and permits. Worldcoin has also faced regulatory actions in other countries, including Germany (for privacy violations), Brazil (over concerns of unfair consumer influence), and Kenya (where it was previously labeled a criminal group before resuming operations in mid-2024).
