Just when it looked like the U.S. stablecoin bill might finally cross the finish line… politics did what politics does best: hit the brakes. Nine pro-crypto Democrats-yes, including four who previously said “we’re in”—have now backed out, citing national security and AML concerns. Rumor has it Senators Schumer and Warren are whispering “not on our watch” in Capitol hallways.

So much for regulatory clarity-stablecoins will have to keep living in limbo.

💬 Is the U.S. trying to regulate innovation into extinction? Or just making sure no one launches a stablecoin called “DollarZilla”?

Either way, adoption and trust might be taking a hit.
