Chainlink has announced the launch of Chainlink Rewards, a new crypto program to reward community participation and activity within its ecosystem. The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with Space and Time (SXT).
The program will allow Chainlink Build projects to make native tokens available for Chainlink participants, including LINK stakers.
Details of Chainlink rewards and SXT distribution
Space and Time is the first Build project participating. The project will allocate 4% of the total number of SXT tokens — which amounts to 200 million SXT — for distribution through the program.
An initial batch of 100 million SXT will be available for claiming on May 8, 2025. Both current and historical LINK stakers will be eligible to receive this airdrop.
Additionally, the claiming period for this first distribution, known as Season Genesis, will last for 90 days. Any remaining tokens and any unclaimed supplies may be released in future reward seasons. Chainlink Rewards expands the boundaries of the Build program. It connects community participants with Build projects looking to grow in adoption.
The airdrop program supports active users and node operators who contribute to the security and functioning of the Chainlink network.
Space and Time joined the Build program in September 2022. Since then, it has been developing its decentralized database solution that uses zero-knowledge proofs to provide analytics to smart contracts.
The project integrated Chainlink Functions in 2024 to support delivery of ZK-verified requests on-chain.
Meanwhile, Chainlink has confirmed that future reward events may include other Build projects offering token rewards to ecosystem participants. The claiming period for Season Genesis opens on May 8, 2025.
Thus, eligible LINK stakers can access the reward distribution through official Chainlink channels.
Several other new crypto airdrop programs have been announced for May 2025. Recently, the meme coin project Floki announced an airdrop of RICE tokens for FLOKI holders.
