As of May 2025, the relevant amendments to the Tax Code have not yet been adopted, so full legalization of cryptocurrencies in Ukraine has not yet occurred. However, there is a significant likelihood that the necessary legislative changes will be approved in 2025. In particular, the head of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Danilo Getmantsev, has expressed hope that legalization will take place in the first quarter of 2025. There is also information that the new cryptocurrency law may fully come into effect on January 1, 2026. According to the discussed bills, cryptocurrency will be defined as movable property, and taxes will be paid only when funds are withdrawn in fiat currency. The income tax rate for individuals will be 18% and a 1.5% military tax on net income. Therefore, although cryptocurrencies in Ukraine are no longer completely illegal thanks to the Law on Virtual Assets, their complete regulation and taxation are expected in 2025 or early 2026.#криптовалюта #StrategicBTCReserve #MarketPullback
